Our Community Food Bank is currently seeking candidates to join our volunteer Board of Directors. The team includes members from the not-for-profit, public, and private sectors, and represent a diverse range of career stages. We welcome all candidates, experienced or new volunteers. Board members take on the role of ambassador for the organization and serve an initial two-year term. Joining our Board of Directors is a great way to help your community while sharing your expertise with the charitable sector.
We are currently recruiting candidates to join the Board of Directors for the following roles
TREASURER: They will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of our charity and work collaboratively in supporting the Board in decision-making by overseeing budgets, financial reports, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. Responsibilities will include:
Managing and monitoring the organization's finances
Preparing and presenting financial reports to the board
Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Collaborating with staff and board members to create and manage budgets
DONOR RELATIONS MANAGER: This individual will play an important role in developing and executing donor engagement plans in collaboration with fellow Board members with responsibility for:
Developing and implementing donor engagement strategies
Identifying and cultivating potential new donors
Managing relationships with existing and prospective donors
Collaborating with staff to create compelling donor materials and reports
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: This individual will play a leadership role in recruiting, training, and managing our dedicated team of volunteers. They will work closely with other Board members and staff in achieving organizational objectives by ensuring a dynamic and engaged group of volunteers. Their responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing volunteer recruitment strategies
Conducting orientation and training sessions for new volunteers
Coordinating volunteer schedules and assignments
Providing ongoing support and recognition to volunteers
Collaborating with staff to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
